New Variation of the Algonquin Route

Workout: 6 Mile Easy Run

Another variation of my Algonquin Lake route.  I will have to say I was pretty tired tonight.  I was a half mile in thinking… holy crap I’m only 1/12th done!  That is never a good sign.

I decided to run on the South side of Algonquin tonight.  It was a little hilly which makes for a harder workout so that is good.  Also I don’t know if I didn’t eat enough but my legs were definitely a little heavy.  The big payoff of this route is the last half mile is a nice downhill where I can kick it in.  But tonight I was really having to work hard.

I do feel like I’m continuing to get back into running trim but would like to drop a few more pounds.  But that will come with time.  And I really don’t want to peak until October anyway.

Good run, so far on track for the week!

6.40 miles/54:04/avg 8:26
