Run Around Algonquin Lake
Workout: 8 mile easy run
Wow what a great run today. It was nice to get some distance back in my legs. I decided to run a somewhat new route. I ran all the way around Algonquin lake which I guessed would be a little more than 8 miles.
I really tried to take it easy. I would like to do a better job slowing down my long runs as I prepare for Chicago. Anyway was fun running along the lake. There were a lot of people out and about and even stumbled across some fellow runners.
The other great thing about this route is there are some decent sized hills. Nothing that will kill you, but enough to let you know you’re working.
I felt pretty strong the whole way through, but did get a little tired about a mile and a half out. My legs started to feel a little heavy, but by then I knew I was close to home.
Anyway good run, and happy to be out and about, and best of all no knee twinge!
