Note to self... Do nothing the day after a long run!

So I keep learning a lesson over and over. Do not do speedwork the day after a long run. Arg… I flipped my weekend workouts so I could do my long run with the Team yesterday. That meant strides today.
The first mile was pretty brutal. I actually said “ug” on almost every step. I decided to get a good three miles in as a warm-up. I meant to do them slow but kind of fell into a 8:30/m pace. I seem to running that a lot lately.
Anyway after 3 miles I turned around and started my strides. 20 seconds on with a 1 minute jog between strides…
Stride 1: 7:28/m
Stride 2: 8:17/m
Stride 3: 8:55/m
Stride 4: 8:20/m
Stride 5: 8:10/m
Stride 6: 7:35/m
Stride 7: 7:38/m
Stride 8: 8:43/m
I don’t really buy these paces. I was running through the woods and my Garmin kept loosing its signal. It felt like they were all pretty consistent at around a 7:30 pace. I know they were faster than 8:30’s.
