Intervals Suck!
Today Hal had me run more intervals. I actually haven’t run intervals for more than a month. I kept skipping my interval workouts for a wide variety of reasons. But today it was warm and the HHS track was clear so I thought I better get on the stick. It was freaking hard!
After a half mile or so warm-up I did nine 400meter laps with 200 meters of walking between each lap. Here’s the breakdown….
Lap 1: 8:27/M pace
Lap 2: 6:43/M pace
Lap 3: 7:27/M pace
Lap 4: 6:22/M pace
Lap 5: 7:07/M pace
Lap 6: 7:30/M pace
Lap 7: 6:52/M pace
Lap 8: 7:17/M pace
Lap 9: 7:51/M pace
So consistency still eludes me…
