Feelin Good...
Workout: 5 miles
What a great run! It’s the first run where my heart wasn’t pounding through my chest and I wasn’t dieing at the end. I even ran an extra mile. I’m still very concerned that I don’t have enough time to be ready for the half, but at least I know I can make it half way without collapsing!
I’ve been following the Hal Higdon Beginner training program since I’ve waited to the last minute to start training, but I’m thinking maybe I’ll try the long run prescribed in the intermediate program. Based on how that goes I may switch back. My thinking is the intermediate program maxes out with a 12 mile training run while the beginner maxes out at 10 miles. From a confidence factor I think I’d prefer to have 12 under my belt, but I don’t want to get injured.
So who knows… we’ll just see how it goes!
